minor_channel_number [ATSC Semantics]
ATSC channel numbers are always expressed as two-part channel numbers, but is compatible with SCTE channel numbers, which permit one-or two part channel numbers. Both formats require the channel number to be divided into major and minor channel numbers.
The minor_channel_number is a 10-bit field that gives lowest order digits of the channel number.
When the service_type is analog_television, the minor_channel_number must be 0. When service_type is either ATSC_digital_television or ATSC_audio_only, the minor_channel_number shall be between 1 and 99.
minor_channel_number is also a 10-bit unsigned integer field in an ATSC time-shifted services descriptor that signals the minor channel number where a particular time-shifted service may be found.
