continuity_counter [MPEG-2 Semantics]
continuity_counter is a 4-bit unsigned integer field in an MPEG-2 transport stream that signals the current value of the continuity_counter for that packet id. Each time an encoder transmits continuity_counter, the counter for that packet id is incremented by 1, except that when the maximum value of 15 is incremented, the value loops around back to 0.
